Mumm-Ra attacks the Feliner as the Thundercubs try to take off for Third Earth. Ma-Mutt attacks Lion-O as he helps the Feliner break free from Mumm-Ra's spell. Snarf plays the flute to stop Ma-Mutt from attacking Lion-O. Then, Mumm-Ra tries to attack Lion-O but is forced back to the Black Pyramid by the Sword of Omens.
At the Pyramid, Mumm-Ra can't make any sense of the Book of Omens. The Ancient Spirits of Evil speak to Mumm-Ra for the first time. The spirits tell him that the next time he goes against Lion-O, the mummy will be astonished by his own power. They then force him into his sarcophagus to rest.
On Third Earth, the Luna-Taks have attacked the Berbil village and take the Berbils away to Hook Mountain. It is where Sky Tomb is using enslaved races to mine Thundrillium. Among the slaves are the Thundercats from the Cats' Lair and the Tower of Omens.
Snowman and Snowmeow free the Wilytwins. Awhile later, Aluro and Tug Mug realize that the Wilytwins are missing. They decide to lie to Luna about what happened to them, and then Sky Tomb takes off to Darkside.
In the Snow Castle, the Wilytwins regain hope for their friends to save them and their allies from the Luna-Taks when Snowman shows them the Feliner on his tracking device.
On Thundera, Lion-O and young Snarf decide to get the Book of Omens back from Mumm-Ra. However, Mumm-Ra observes them entering a tunnel under the pyramid and prepares to attack them. The statues of the Ancient Spirits of Evil step down from their pedestals to place Mumm-Ra in the cauldron, where he transforms into a larger version of his warrior form.
The Feliner returns to Third Earth. The Wilytwins are surprised to see their adult friends as cubs. The twins briefly introduce themselves before they ask what happened. The Thundercubs explain, and then the Wilytwins let the cubs in on what has happened on Third Earth while they were away. The Wilytwins say that they must go to Darkside to free their remaining friends from Sky Tomb.
Suddenly, Cheetara's sixth sense shows her that Lion-O is in danger on Thundera. Lion-O and Snarf have found the Book of Omens and plan to head back to Third Earth. The Wilytwins and the Thundercubs try to make their way through the Forest of Mists into Darkside but lose control of the ship and crashes.
On Thundera, Lion-O is warned of his friends' being in trouble before Mumm-Ra attacks him with the Sword of Plun-Darr. The evil sword returns to Mumm-Ra's hands to continue the attack.
The Wilytwins and the Thundercubs make their way of the Forest of Mists with the help from Cheetara's sixth sense. After finding evidence of Sky Tomb using the water in a lake, the Wilytwins plan to attack when the fortress returns.

Everyone escapes into the Mumm-Raft, and the Thundercubs are returned to their adulthood.

NOTES:
I've included this here because I did not write a script for this video (which was hard for me to do and Ventain's recommendation) and we made this up on the fly. I had to make this video work on editing alone. Ventain edited the first half, and I edited the second half. Here is the outline I used to finish the video.
Don't read this if you haven't watched the video yet.
SYNOPSIS: Anthony can't believe his twin brother wants to be the greatest video gamer in the world, but sees his passion. Carlos, a cocky, strange individual, brags about beating all the high scores in the arcade...when it's visually not very busy and his high scores aren't really so high.
He explains that winning prizes are important to him, which is the only reason to play ticket games. Carlos also explains his past as a child, where he told his friends about his dreams and goals in life and they told him he couldn't achieve them, but he didn't listen because he saw accolade and happiness in it.
He vows to makes his dreams come true first by being the best at his favorite arcade. We get a small glimpse in the life of Carlos at the arcade.
We then see a mysterious character playing Bubble Bobble. Anthony explains that Carlos is often challenged by this individual at the arcade, but Carlos isn't afraid because this person, who he has dubbed "Mr. X", is not a threat to his scores.
Except that Mr. X achieves a very high score on Bubble Bobble... of course, high in Carlos' standards. He is defeated and feels shamed.
Mr. X, who is disguised with hair over his face and glasses, explains that he doesn't care that he beat Carlos and hurt his feelings, and even says that Bubble Bobble is easy. His voice is also seemingly disguised to hide identity.
Carlos decides overtime to return to the arcade and at least try to regain his crown, because sitting around and crying won't do anything to change things.
He plays Bubble Bobble and beats Mr. X's score, and is thrilled that he achieved his goal.
Anthony sees Carlos' happiness and says he is happy for him, and although his family won't support him, he will...
But, in a clip from months earlier, it displays that Anthony was really never supportive. It is revealed that his sister Stephanie dressed as Mr. X, under Anthony's decision, and beat Carlos' scores to discourage him from his dream. Anthony makes a statement that surrounds why people chase a dream that may never happen, only through belief.
The final image is of Carlos, being commended for his high score, displaying that even if nobody else in the world knows or cares, Carlos is living the dream, being number one at least somewhere in his life, and living at his happiest, despite what his family thinks of him.
